Patrick Leahy To Chuck Grassley: Don’t ‘Exploit’ Boston Bombing Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) chastised some of his Republican colleagues on Monday for saying immigration reform should be delayed in light of the bombing last week in Boston, accusing them of taking advantage of the tragedy to push their own political agenda. “Late last week opponents of comprehensive immigration reform began to exploit the Boston Marathon bombing,” Leahy said at the second Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on an immigration bill released last week by the “gang of eight.” “I urge restraint in that regard. … Let no one be so cruel as to try to use the heinous acts of two young men last week to derail the dreams and futures of millions of hardworking people.” Sen. Surviving Boston Bombing Suspect Charged Today – GOP Unhappy as Usual
A federal magistrate has filed charges at the hospital holding Dzhokhar Tsarnaev with ‘Using a Weapon of Mass Destruction’ Tsarnaev could face the death penalty if convicted. Court papers reveal chilling message from bombing suspect to carjack victim: “Did you hear about the Boston explosion?” and “I did that,” According to the White House, the Defendant will NOT be tried as an enemy combatant, but will be tried in Federal Court. Senator Lindsey Graham appeared on CNN shortly afterwards, and was not happy about how the White House has handled this. He would prefer Dzhokhar Tsarnaev be declared an ‘enemy combatant’ so he could be tried in a military tribunal, which does not come with the same rights, and was setup for Non-US citizens. Well Senator and sometimes lesbian Lindsey Graham didn’t get the memo that the suspect is an American Citizen. He also doesn’t understand that the USA has 100% conviction rate in terror cases. Sigh
Panic Must Be Rampant Among Gold Worshiping Paulites
I’m 100% positive that the ongoing precipitous fall in gold’s lustrous shine will not sway the belief of loyal, but simple-minded Paulites that the Gold Standard is still preferable to the current monetary mechanism of fiat currency. Neither will the believers that the moon landing was a hoax ever believe that Neil Young and Buzz Aldrin actually planted a U.S. flag on the moon.
